Jordan Harris
Jordan is a Mississippi native raised in Oxford. He left his home town to attend Mississippi College in Clinton, MS where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Communication. It was there at Mississippi College he was introduced to Christian camping. Jordan met his wife, Katie, in Texas at Pine Cove and they were married in December of 2012. He worked at Pine Cove for nearly three years and decided to pursue seminary, and to be closer to his future wife. He studied at Columbia International University Seminary and School of Ministry in Columbia, SC where he received his Master of Divinity in Ministry Leadership. While in South Carolina, he served as the Worship Pastor and Creative Director at GraceLife Church.
Jordan continued his education and ministry training as a Chaplain through the ACPE Residency program at Methodist Healthcare systems in Memphis, TN. After his residency, he was offered a position as a Chaplain at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. Jordan transitioned back to local church ministry and served as the Worship and Youth Pastor at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Arlington, VA. After three years in the D.C. metro area he and Katie made their way to Chicago, IL where he served as the Worship and Small Groups Director at Park Community Church - South Loop. In Chicago he and Katie had their first child, Ben, and decided to make their way back down south to Asheville, NC. In Asheville, they welcomed their second child, Holly, and he is now the Communication and Creative Pastor at GracePoint Church.
Katie grew up in South Carolina and attended the University of South Carolina (USC). She then went on to graduate from the USC Medical School. Katie completed her Pediatric residency through the University of Tennessee Health Science Center at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and St. Jude Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. She completed a Pediatric Hematology and Oncology fellowship at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and began her professional career as a Pediatric Oncologist at Comer Children's Hospital in Chicago, IL. She has recently transitioned to Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC as a Pediatric Oncologist and Hematologist.
